Compelling Entry Valuations:
As a value-oriented investor, we look to take advantage of out-of-favor or neglected situations that offer highly compelling entry valuations. We are able to take advantage of temporary dislocations in the price of equity securities which are often due to market over-reactions or excessive focus on short-term phenomena. Our philosophy is to exercise patience and discipline in waiting for such opportunities to present themselves.
Value Add:
Our goal is to be the single largest or one of the largest shareholders on the register and to build a partnership with management and the board of directors, allowing us to initiate and often implement value-added strategies that enhance shareholder returns. This includes engaging with and attracting other investment managers to the register.
Small Cap Focus:
Our primary focus is the micro to small cap sector of the market, which is under-researched and often capital constrained and therefore allows for more attractively valued investment opportunities. In addition, smaller sized companies afford greater potential for influence and value-add on our part, than larger companies.
